We overhaul and draught proof your existing windows and leave them looking and working like new. This service includes: New, quality waxed cotton Sash Cords, minor
box repairs, new quality window locks and lifts and a full, 3 coat paint job inside and out.
We can replace your existing windows with double glazing. The new joinery will be matched as closely as possible to the original windows. This is an important factor
to take into consideration if your property is a listed building or is located in a conservation, or environmentally protected area.
Depending on the level of disrepair, we can often repair badly rotten sections of your Sash windows instead of replacing the whole Sash. This work is extremely
delicate and firstly involves the removal of the glass. Next, the rotten section will be cut out and a new section will be spliced in its place. The window will
be filled, sanded and primed and the glass will then be re-installed. Finally, the window will be undercoated and painted and left looking like new.
If your window sills are damaged or rotten beyond repair, we can remove the old sill and supply and fit a new hardwood one. The new sill will be primed, undercoated
and painted.
Over the years, your sash cords may become frayed or otherwise damaged. We replace the old cords with new cords made from quality white waxed cotton and then touch
up and re-hang your windows.
We gently remove the old putty, remove the broken or unwanted pane and replace it like-for-like or with a different style (e.g. frosted glass in a bathroom or toughened/laminated
glass) - the choice is yours.
