The same specialist micro-porous paints that we use in our double glazing service are used here. These paints are water-based and designed to allow the timber to breathe, meaning the paint expands and contracts with any natural movement in the timber, making it highly resistant to cracking and peeling. Importantly for you, this means less maintenance!

*Please note, condensation levels will be increased in colder months when single glazed sash windows are draught sealed. A certain amount of maintenance will be required by you where condensation occurs. For further details, please view our timber windows aftercare information (You will experience minimal or no condensation with double glazed sash windows).
We will burn off the heavy paint, then Your timber sash windows and boxes will be sanded down, any cracks will be filled and all necessary repairs (timber splicing and resin repairs) will be carried out. Your sash windows and boxes will then be primed, under-coated and top-coated inside and out. Lastly, the sash windows will be re-hung with new white, waxed cotton Sash cords and new sash fasteners, lifts and security locks will be fitted (selection of styles and finishes available).
