Double GlazingOur Double Glazing Service involves the replacement of your existing sash windows with new, timber framed, double glazed sash windows. Our windows are made to measure and will replicate the design of your existing sash windows. The new sashes are made from European Redwood from an FSC approved source. We can offer two options for double glazing. Option 1 With this option, we will refurbish and utilise your existing box frames and carry out all repairs. The new sashes will be then be fitted in your existing frames. This option includes all of the following as standard: Draught proofing Option 2 With this option, we will supply & fit complete new boxes along with new double glazed sash windows. This option may be advisable where your existing box frames carry sashes with a thickness less than 45mm, your existing boxes are badly rotted or where there has been some subsidance in your property and the existing frames are not entirely level. This option includes all services specified in option 1 Glass UsedThe glass used in our double-glazed timber windows is Pilkington K Glass ™. This glass has the ability to allow the sun’s heat through while simultaneously stopping heat escaping from your home. new datasheet JoineryOur timber framed sash windows are manufactured from high quality European Redwood. All timber used in the manufacture of our windows is from an FSC approved source. Traditionally, box sash windows are made from softwood. Hardwood (sapelle) versions are available on request but can cost up to 40% more than softwood. Window installations – Certification & GuaranteesAs mentioned above, we are FENSA registered installers and any full boxes & double glazed sash windows we install will receive a certificate from FENSA on completion of the installation. In addition, as members of the GGFi insurance scheme, we can offer you a 5 year insurance backed guarantee on any new installation we carry out. |
